REMINGTON DOUBLE DERINGER TYPE I MODEL NO. 2 PISTOL.

SN 1599. Cal. .41 RF. 3″ bbls, nickel finish, 2-pc rosewood grips. Bbl rib shows a 2-line Remington address with Elliot’s patent mark on the second line. SN is stamped on the upper left inside of the grip frame and under the bbl lug. PROVENANCE: Bruce Burtner Collection. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbls retain nearly all of the orig nickel finish with only a few very slight spots of erosion and light scratches. Bbl address is sharp. Bores are bright with strong rifling and some light staining. Frame also retains nearly all of the orig nickel finish that has somewhat frosted with age. There is slight erosion on the forestrap and trigger spur. Hammer, extractor, lever latch, and trigger all retain a generous amount of blue finish. All markings are sharp. Grips are very good to fine, with light handling marks and some high point loss of varnish on the right grip.
