5-CENT POLK STYLE FIGURAL SLOT MACHINE.This particular machine in an original Mills War Eagle, circa 1930s, which was fit into the chest of a carved wooden Indian. Dick DeLong from Pennsylvania started carving various figures in the style of Polk, and using original machines and would place them into his figures. Obviously the classic choice for an Indian would be the Mills War Eagle. Dick used an oversized elaborate coin casting upon which the chief stands. In his left hand he holds a tomahawk and a spear in the other. Machine is in operational condition, nicely restored original castings and beautiful original tin reel strips. Machine has great action and would benefit from a light lubrication. SIZE: 69″ to top of head (excluding feather headdress). CONDITION: As stated above with replaced steel back door. 1086-8 (2,000-3,000) – Lot 2197 Auction: Advertising, Toy & Doll - Spring 2015 Please Note: All prices include the hammer price plus the buyer’s premium, which is paid by the buyer as part of the purchase price.
