JOHN MORGAN & SONS ROSE SHADE ON WILKINSON BASE.

Large John Morgan & Sons domed shade has leaded and enameled rose flowers encircling the shade with green, white and pink striated leaves and vines against a light green and white background. Shade is completed with an embossed floral permanently attached top cap. Shade is unsigned. Similar example of shade can be found in the book Mosaic Shades Volume II by Paul Crist, pg. 111. Shade rests on a cast metal Wilkinson base with heavily embossed leaf foot, tree trunk stem with leaves applied to the tree trunk. Base is complete with a four-socket cluster and is finished in dark brown patina with green highlights. Base is unsigned. Similar example is pictured in Crist’s book on pg. 255. SIZE: Shade is 24″ dia. Lamp is 28-1/2″ t. CONDITION: Shade is very good with some tight hairlines. Base is very good to excellent. 5-68779 (7,500-9,500) – Lot 2197
