Braun, Coblenz”. Rear portion is fitted with one standing, one folding leaf express type sight and claw scope bases. Bbl flats are stamped with imperial German proofs for 8 x 57. Very fine replacement buttstock is of nicely marbled and figured European walnut and measures 14-3/8″ over checkered wood butt with engraved steel heel and toe plates. Stock exhibits Griffin & Howe styling, and was most likely done by them, as it has their classic post war shadow line right hand cheekpiece which extends to front of comb, as well as drop points, and well cut checkering with mullered borders. Matching beavertail forend has Deeley release. Drop at heel: approx 2-1/2″, drop at comb: approx 1-1/2″. Weight: 7 lbs 10 oz. LOP: 14-3/8″. CONDITION: Very fine, as refurbished. Bbls retain over 90% of an old re-blue, silvered on sides and sharp edges. There are some light stains in coin finish of action. Newly made stocks retain nearly all of their fine hand rubbed oil finish. Bores are fine, with strong rifling throughout, lightly pitted in grooves. Action is tight. Bbls are on face. A great handling little double rifle. 49535-4 MGM371 (6,000-10,000) – Lot 2192
