A classic coin op vender manufactured by Manikin Vendor Co. of Portland, OR. The figure, a baker, is one of four various figures used within this machine. When the penny is deposited and lever on the right side flipped, the gentleman within retrieves a gumball from an opening door and then depositing it into a chute for the child to receive. These machines had a simple yet complicated mechanism and oftentimes they were troublesome and high maintenance. NOT the case with this particular example. Great action and fun to watch! Machine appears to be in all original untouched condition, however it must have been in a smoky environment and quite possibly would clean up to its original bright coloring(?). SIZE: Approx 16″ t.
