SN 404886. Cal. 375 H&H Mag 25-1/2″ Chopper lump Bohler Rasant bbls, are fitted with quarter rib holding one standing, two folding leaf express sight with gold lines, and scope bases. Rib transitions to swamped mid rib which transitions to front ramp, holding bronze bead. Mid rib is gold inlaid “CONCO – BOROVNIK”. Top of quarter rib is engraved with caliber. There are 2-1/2″ half-triangles of well cut open shaded scroll with thin gold bands at breech ends, and matching 1″ triangles at muzzles and on knurled sight protector. Bottoms of bbls are stamped with Ferlach proofs, steel info, and caliber, and engraved “MADE IN AUSTRIA” and “CONCO ARMS – EMMAUS, PA.” Coin finished action with Greener crossbolt third fastener and hand detachable sidelocks has top strap, which extends over comb, and features non-automatic safety, raised rib tumbler end cocking indicators, gold-plated dbl triggers (front articulated), reinforcing side bolsters, and gold-plated internals. Action is engraved with near full coverage small, open, shaded scroll with scrolled gold inlay as counterpoint. Fences, top of action, and top lever are deep relief engraved in acanthus motif. This interesting engraving surrounds full relief vignette of leopard guarding captured impala on large tree branch on bottom of action. Sideplates are deep relief engraved with other members of the “big five”; with black rhino standing in clearing on left lock, and a face-on cape buffalo on right. Engraving is signed “F. Mack” at bottom left of buffalo scene. Blued trigger guard is also scroll engraved and gold inlaid. Tang extends to steel trap grip cap. Lightly marbled and attractively flame figured European walnut capped pistol grip buttstock measures 14-5/8″ over red Old English pad, and features large, swept shadow line right hand cheekpiece, point pattern checkering at grip, and a sling eye inlet into toe line. Matching long beavertail ejector forend has Deeley release. Swarovski Habicht 1.5 – 6 x 42 scope with duplex reticle is in claw rings engraved to match rifle. Drop at heel: approx 2-3/4″, drop at comb: approx 1-9/16″. Weight without scope: 10 lbs 1 oz. LOP: 14-5/8″. CONDITION: Excellent, nearly as new, with little evidence of firing since proof, with a few minor handling marks on wood and metal. Mechanically crisp. Scope is excellent with clear optics.
