CIVIL WAR MINIE BALL EMBEDDED IN COIN SILVER POCKET WATCH.

This exact watch is pictured on p. 125 of Gettysburg: The Paintings of Mort Kunstler. This book was written for Ted Turner’s production of the film Gettysburg. This is a very neat relic that has been in several well-known collections though we have no further history. This piece is being sold as is without reserve. SIZE: Fusee case is approx. 2” dia x 3/4” thick. PROVENANCE: Civil War Shop, Chapel Hill, North Carolina 1980. Don Armstrong, ASAC. Elliott Burka, ASAC. Joseph A. Murphy 2011. CONDITION: As can be seen in photos, dial is broken and 3-ring .58 caliber bullet exhibits lead patina. Silver uncleaned with numerous small scratches and patina. 8-76405 (1,000-2,000) – Lot 2186
