FINE WILLIAM IV MAHOGANY TEAPOY.

Second quarter 19th century, England. Rectangular hinged top with canted corners and gadrooned edge opening to an interior fitted with lidded tin-lined waste compartment and pair of lidded tea caddies centering a faceted flint glass waste bowl, all within conforming case, each side with recessed panel raised on a cylindrical ring-and-bell-turned standard joined to the quatroform platform base affixed with floral rosettes raised on carved paw feet. SIZE: 31-1/2″ h x 19-1/2″ l x 14″ d. CONDITION: With original surfaces and rich patina. Retaining original concealed casters. Lock latch absent. Some veneer patches along sides of one arm of base.
