SAVAGE REVOLVER NAVY MODEL.

SN NSN. Cal. 36. 7″ bbl. Blue finish. 2-pc walnut grips. Top strap marked “Savage R.F.A. Company Middletown, CT H.S. North patented 1856, 1859, and 1860”. No visible marks with the exception of a “M” inspector mark on grip frame under left grip. Left grip shows remnants of acceptance cartouche and the name “Oliver” scratched on upper side. Right grip is scratched “Tark”. CONDITION: Good. Revolver is dark-brown patina overall with some roughness and dents on the bbl. Cyl is a gray-brown patina overall. Grips show remnants of a cartouche and are battered on the butt end. Chips are missing from either toe of the grip. A total of 11,984 were sold to the U.S. Government during the Civil War.
