*EXCEPTIONALLY FINE 20 BORE DASSA ENGRAVED COSMI EXTRA LUSSO WITH GOLD, AND CASE.

SN 6710. Cal. 20 GA. 26″ Boehler Antinit bbl is fitted with raised, ventilated rib and interchangeable chokes. Action with blued plain finished upper and coin finished steel lower assembly, is built on Cosmi’s time tested principle “all parts hand finished and polished”. Bottom receiver is engraved with 90% coverage exceptionally well cut shaded scroll with rose bouquet highlights. This fine engraving surrounds Bulino game scenes with principal subjects flush inlaid in gold; left side depicts a flying pheasant with another crouched ready to spring at rear, front portion has side portrait of cock pheasant. Right side of action depicts a similar scene of woodcock, with portrait of woodcock at front. Bottom of action, which is near fully scroll engraved, has interesting scene of pair of quail flushing from behind fallen tree and stump. This scene is signed by “Dassa” noted Italian engraver. Exhibition quality, burl figured European walnut pistol grip buttstock measures 14-5/8″ over checkered wood butt. Point pattern checkering with line borders is at grip. Matching forend has parallel ribbed grip swell. Drop at heel: 2-3/16″, drop at comb: 1-5/16″. Weight: 7 lbs 7 oz. LOP: 14-5/8″. Dark brown leather case by Nizzoli is lined in dark burgundy cloth and has Cosmi label in lid. Case contains two choke tubes, magazine plug, 2-pc composition and brass cleaning rod, and bags for action and bbls. Specification card is in case.
