Please Note: There is a small, faint color on Barbie’s feet under the shoe straps (from the straps). Also, the top lid of the box is split on one corner seam. NUMBER 1 BARBIE WITH ORIGINAL BOX.Box flap is marked #863, Resort Set, Dressed display doll. The pink silhouette box is quite firm with minimal wear to top edge corners. The doll appears to have had very little play and more than likely has been kept in her original box for decades. Her hair is intact and in its original set, including her ponytail and original rubber band (now decaying). Side-glancing eyes with earrings (showing no discoloration at earring holes). Above doll’s left eye is a minute black scuff to finish, but no effort has been made to clean or remove. Her knit sweater is in remarkable condition, but minuscule separation in knit (1/2″ below chin). To the untrained eye, she appears to be in very fine plus to near mint condition. Included is her plastic base stand marked “Barbie” (lacking metal pole) and an oval plastic tray also marked “Barbie”. This doll comes fresh to the market from its original owner who received it as a gift in the late 1950s. SIZE: 11″ h. CONDITION: As stated above. 1091-1 (2,000-3,000) – Lot 2155 Auction: Advertising, Toy & Doll - Spring 2015 Please Note: All prices include the hammer price plus the buyer’s premium, which is paid by the buyer as part of the purchase price.
