Circa 1580. German. Two views on one double sheet, the upper showing the Czech Republic of Prague with views of the new and old city below either side of the Vltava River. The lower view shows a perspective of the city Cheb on the river Eger. These maps came from the publication “Civitates” that was compiled and written by George Braun candidate of the Cologne Cathedral. This example is uncolored. SIZE: Plate 13-1/4″ x 18-1/2″.
