*28 GAUGE PERUGINI & VISINI MAESTRO “LUSSO” OVER-UNDER GAME GUN ENGRAVED BY TOMASONI WITH EXTRA 20 GAUGE BARRELS, TRIGGER GROUP, AND CASE.

SN 3175. Cal. 20 ga/ 28 ga. 30″ Mono-bloc bbls with narrow ventilated ribs, are gold inlaid “PERUGINI & VISINI” on left sides of mono-blocs. Right sides are engraved “NUVOLERA BRESCIA ITALY”. Bottoms of mono-blocs are stamped with 2007 Italian nitro proofs, and with SNs. Bottoms of bbls are stamped with importers name and address (Hi-Grade Imports). Coin finished, low profile, nicely sculpted, sideplated action with removal trigger group, sporting gold-plated single selective trigger (extra trigger group with single non-selective trigger is in case), is exquisitely engraved with near full coverage cleanly executed and nicely shaded semi-relief large open scroll with acanthus highlights. This fine engraving frames well done Bulino portrait of sitting labrador on bottom of action; with two renditions of Diana, Goddess of the Hunt, walking with bow and quiver on top lever, and with a spear on trigger guard bow. Labrador portrait is signed “C. Tomasoni”, noted engraver from Brescia. Exceptional, beautifully marbled and slab-cut burl figured, flesh-toned European walnut round knob pistol grip buttstock measures 15-1/4″ over black rifle pad. Point pattern checkering with line borders is at grip. A gold oval engraved “S” is on toe line. Slim one piece matching forend is inlaid with P & V opposed unicorn trademark, and with a flushing pheasant, both in gold, and has Deeley type release. 28 GAUGE BBLS: Bore diameter: top -.550, bottom -.549. Bore restrictions: top -.025 (full), bottom -.018 (mod). Drop at heel: 1-3/4″, drop at comb: 1-3/8″. Weight: 7 lbs 6 oz. LOP: 15-1/4″. 20 GAUGE BBLS: Bore diameter: top -.627, bottom -.632. Bore restrictions: top -.026 (full), bottom -.026 (full). Drop at heel: 1-11/16″, drop at comb: 1-3/8″. Weight: 7 lbs 2 oz. LOP: 15-1/4″. High quality russet pigskin leather case with stitched leather corners has green canvas outer cover with leather trim. Case is lined in red cloth with gold embossed black P & V label in lid, with space for action and both sets of bbls. Case contains spare trigger/ firing group with single non-selective trigger, spare strikers, two pairs of snap caps (20 ga and 28 ga), and a square oil bottle. Also included are black velvet bags for action and both bbl sets. CONDITION: Excellent, near new, showing evidence of very limited firing since proof, with only a few minor handling marks in wood and metal. Bores are excellent. Action is tight. Mechanically crisp. Case is excellent with a few scratches in exterior leather. Outer cover shows some light wear and scuffs. Interior is excellent with a few compressions and light soiling.
