SN 2230. Cal. 20 ga. 2-3/4″ Chambers. Beautifully struck 28″ chopper lump bbls are engraved “Flli RIZZINI – MAGNO V.T.” on narrow, game rib. Bbl flats are stamped with year 2000 Italian nitro proofs. Bottom of right bbl is engraved with importers name (William Larkin Moore). Coin finished, sidelock action features non-automatic safety and single non-selective trigger. It is engraved with full coverage truly exceptional semi-relief climbing and trailing open acanthus and scroll. This exceptional engraving melds into central motif of quartering portrait of swan, wing outstretched, on each lockplate. Bottom of action portrays this same swan face on. Fences are more deeply carved with scroll and acanthus. This theme extends to top lever and trigger guard. SN is on tang. This striking engraving is by noted Italian engraver Stefano Muffolini, whose signature is on trigger plate. Beautifully marbled and lightly figured red-toned European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 14-7/8″ over skip line checkered wood butt. Stock shaping is flawless with sharp fields around lockplates, and crisp transition to grip, which is checkered in very well cut flat top borderless point pattern. Matching splinter ejector forend has Anson release. Bore diameter: left -.630, right -.632. Bore restrictions: left -.015 (mod), right -.009 (IC). Drop at heel: 2-1/8″, drop at comb: 1-7/16″. Weight: 6 lbs 3 oz. LOP: 14-7/8″. High quality tan leather case with stitched leather corners has green canvas outer cover with russet leather trim. CONDITION: Essentially as new, appears unfired since proof, with only the faintest of light handling and assembly marks on wood and metal.
