1st half 19th century, Maine. Pine, vibrant, bold black and red original, dry, crusty grained paint. Finely dovetailed case with applied, raised, chamfered base, the front and sides flush to floor, the rear with bracket mounts. Lid with simple applied molding, interior with lidded till. Original hinges, escutcheon, lock and keeper (the keeper removed and included). SIZE: 18″ x 37″ x 21″ h.
