COLT MEDIUM FRAME LIGHTENING PUMP ACTION RIFLE.

SN 58480. Cal 32 WCF (32-20). Standard grade rifle with 26″ oct bbl, full magazine, Rocky Mountain front sight & semi-buckhorn rear sight. Receiver has Rampant Colt trademark, Mounted with straight grain uncheckered buttstock with straight grip & crescent buttplate. Forearm is made of 2 pieces of checkered walnut with small Schnable at each end. This rifle was produced 1884-1902 in large numbers as a companion piece to Colt handguns and was the first slide action rifle produced by Colt. CONDITION: Fine. Bbl retains 94-95% strong orig blue showing only sharp edge wear and some minor freckling. Receiver retains 85-86% glossy orig blue with candy striping on both sides and thinning on the top right side and on the bottom at the carry point. Hammer retains strong case colors. Buttplate is mostly a gray patina. Stock has a small hairline at the receiver otherwise wood is sound showing most of its orig finish.
