*WINCHESTER MODEL 1904 RIFLE.

NSN. Cal. .22 Short. 21″ bbl, Winchester express front sight, series 40 rear sight, 2-line Winchester address, caliber, and model mark on top of bbl. Front sight has Winchester patent mark dated Nov. 4, 1902, breech of bbl shows “WP” proof in an oval that also appears on top of bolt, Blue finish, straight grained American walnut stock with steel crescent buttplate and steel loop trigger guard. CONDITION: Fine for this model. Bbl retinas 80-90% bright blue finish that is drifting to a pleasing plum/brown patina with a few spots of erosion near the muzzle. Bbl markings are sharp. Bore is bright with strong rifling, and appears un-fired. Bolt is bright, bolt face is clean. Extractor shows traces of blue. Stock is very good to fine with handling marks and scratches overall, there are a few small dents on the left side above the trigger. Edge of Schnabel forend is worn. Stock is full sized. Buttplate shows a generous amount of blue blending to a smooth gray/brown patina. Trigger guard shows a generous amount of blue. Trigger also shows considerable blue finish.
