*WINCHESTER MODEL 1895 RUSSIAN CONTRACT MUSKET.

SN 277650. Cal. 7.62 mm. 28″ rnd bbl, blue finish, full length straight grained American walnut stocks with hand guard. Receiver shows Russian Arsenal proof on forward right side. Receiver also has clip guides attached to the top of the receiver and swivel mount at the front of the mag. There is also a Russian Arsenal mark on the right side of the buttstock. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl retains 50-60% blue finish. Rear sight staff is slightly bent. Bore is frosty with strong rifling. Receiver retains 20% blue that has flaked to a plum/brown patina. Bolt retains 60% blue. Receiver markings are sharp, with some dents on the left side. Tang marking is sharp. Inspector markings are sharp. Stocks are very good, full sized, and show dents and handling marks overall. Sling swivel mounts are present, a period leather sling is attached. Carbine butt shows considerable traces of blue. Rear bbl band also shows considerable blue. Front bbl band/bayonet mount is a silver/gray patina.
