FINE QUEEN ANNE EASY CHAIR.

Second quarter 18th century, New England. Mahogany wing chair with raked over-upholstered back joined to ogival wings continuing to out-swept rolled arms centering the trapezoidal seat fitted with cushion above the conforming seat rail with round front, raised on frontal cabriole legs with shaped returns terminating in round platform pad feet. The rear legs back-swept. Now covered in celadon green damask. The seat brass tacked. SIZE: 44″ h of back x 16″ h of seat x 34″ w. CONDITION: The frame of maple and pine secondary woods is tight. Rosehead nail corner blocks appear early, if not original with minor secondary wood upholsterer’s repairs. Very good to excellent condition. 51331-22 (3,000-6,000) – Lot 2098
