Late 18th early 19th century, probably New York. The rectangular dovetailed case with hinged sloping lid with lopers opening to an interior fitted with an arrangement of drawers over pigeon holes centering a prospect door with large oval patera of a displayed eagle of the great seal of the United States. The case with 4 graduated long drawers with cockbeaded edges raised on French feet with shaped returns. SIZE: 46-1/2″ h. x 39-1/2 w. x 21″ d. CONDITION: Professionally re-polished surfaces with good colored patina, hardware has been replaced with period brasses, lid with minor tight old shrinkage crack. 9-96532 (2,500-3,500) – Lot 2096
