RARE 44-STAR MEDALLION AMERICAN FLAG COMMEMORATING THE STATE OF WYOMING, 1891.

Printed cotton. Canton is a triple wreath of concentric stars, surrounding a single upside down star with a single star found in each quadrant. This is not a commonly found flag, and it is actually quite scarce in this configuration as most 44s are found with conventional rows of stars. SIZE: Flag: 23-1/4″ x 31″. Frame: 25-3/4″ x 38″. PROVENANCE: The Timothy Gallagher Collection. CONDITION: Good to very good overall, good colors, soiling and staining.
