PAIR OF DISTINCT VARIETIES OF 37-STAR AMERICAN FLAGS, COMMEMORATING NEBRASKA, 1867.

This pair of flags are both in beautiful condition and were official from 1867-1877. The smaller flag is on printed silk, with 1-1/2″ linen sleeve hoist. Stars are configured 7-8-7-8-7. The larger flag on printed cotton with stars configured 6-6-6-7-6-6. SIZE: 1) Flag: 23″ x 11″. Frame: 19-3/4″ x 25-3/4″. 2) Flag: 35″ x 23-1/4″. Frame: 25-3/4″ x 37-3/4″. PROVENANCE: The Timothy Gallagher Collection. CONDITION: Both flags are very good to fine with good colors; light staining on silk flag.
