NINE PIECES OF DARK BLUE STAFFORDSHIRE TEAWARES WITH GEORGE WASHINGTON “SCROLL IN HAND” PATTERN.

1) 19th century. A dark blue Staffordshire teapot with an impressed mark. 2) Circa 19th century. Sugar bowl with impressed Wood mark. 3) 19th century. Creamer with impressed Wood mark. 4-9) 19th century. Two handle less cups, three small saucers and one larger saucer. The two cups with “Washington Tomb” decorated interior, most marked with various marks. SIZE: 1) 7″ h. 2) 5-1/2″ h. 3) 6″ h. 4-9) Cups are 3-3/4″ dia, sm saucers 6″ dia, lg saucer 6-3/4″ dia. PROVENANCE: From a Maine collection. CONDITION: 1) Re-glued finial, small chip on top under lid, one inch hairline visible from interior, minor chip on lid, minor chip on spout, 1/8″ glaze flake on spout, otherwise very good. 2) Mismatched lid with large chips, small chip on rim under cover, otherwise very good. 3) Minor flake on spout and wear and minor flakes on handle otherwise very good. 4-9) Cups very good with minor high spot wear and one with tiny chip on base. Three small saucers, one very good with minor wear, one with darkening and very minor chip, and one with early staple repair stabilizing hairline crack.
