PRATT & LETCHWORTH HORSE DRAWN LANDAU.

A classic clean, all-original landau from the 1890s era. The elaborate pressed steel and iron wagon is drawn by the typically well-defined and elaborately painted white stallion. Oftentimes, this particular toy, due to frailty, has lost its rear wheel covers, but not so with this particular example. The carriage body is primarily stamped steel with a simulated iron rug mat and cast iron tufted seat. A visually very delicate toy that was the normal mode of transportation during this time period. SIZE: 16″ l. PROVENANCE: Ex-Bob & Jackie Stewart collection. CONDITION: Overall very good plus, still retaining front guide wheel on extended front foot of horse. 49089-1 (600-900) – Lot 2059
