A classic early American tin clockwork toy with patent dates from the 1870s. This young gentleman sits upon the bicycle seat with the clockwork mechanism directly behind him encased in a fanciful painted stenciled tin covering. Overall this toy is in very fine original condition including the boy’s clothing which has some fading and minor distress.
