EARLY AMERICAN TIN FALLOWS ELEPHANT BELL RINGER.An unusual form for this early bell toy in that the base has two circular holes for the motion of the elephant to plod forward while ringing the bell. Toy for the most part is in all original paint but it appears that his four legs have had some paint touch up, most likely due to resoldering of secondary base. Smaller cast iron heart shaped wheels further add to the appeal of this unusual early American tin toy. SIZE: 9-1/2″ l. CONDITION: Overall condition is good to very good & as stated above. 49013-7 (900-1,200) – Lot 2047 Auction: Advertising, Toy & Doll - Spring 2015 Please Note: All prices include the hammer price plus the buyer’s premium, which is paid by the buyer as part of the purchase price.
