WINCHESTER MODEL 1886 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 38-56. Standard grade rifle with 26″ oct. bbl, full magazine, uncheckered wood with straight stock and crescent steel buttplate. Bbl has standard rear sight and a homemade front sight. SN 61263. CONDITION: About good. No original finish remains, being a mottled silver-gray patina overall with traces of silvered case colors in the sheltered areas. Wood is sound, having been sanded with an amateur varnish.
