NEW ENGLAND CHIPPENDALE WING CHAIR.

Circa mid 18th century, New England, probably Rhode Island. Hard pine, white pine, chestnut and mahogany. Having serpentine crest and large flaring wings and outwardly scrolling arms. The base having an “h” stretcher and a back stretcher, supporting large square front legs with chamfered back edge and outwardly scrolling back legs, center stretcher dovetailed to side stretchers. SIZE: 46″ t. x 33″ w. x 25″ d. CONDITION: Very good, minor edge abrasions. 9-96605 (800-1,800) – Lot 2039
