Circa 18th century, New England. Leather, iron, marked “L. Chappotin, No. 1, 1790”, in fine yellow calligraphy, against Windsor Green body with black trim. The name within a scrolled banner with flourish above center. “No. 1″ within oval lozenge with scrolled ends. Interior painted red. SIZE: 18” t. to top of handle.
