27″ RED COAT SANTA CANDY CONTAINER.

An unusually large candy container of German origin, this jolly old fellow has a well-defined papier mache face with eyes looking upward and in is all original, as found, untouched condition. On his back he has a fabulous crepe paper sack with a few interesting items attached. However, he is missing his feather tree, which is often missing. The cardboard tubular candy container within is still intact and at some point in time was attached to a wooden base, showing traces of mica and white paint to the base of his boots. His beard and hair are original as is his red felt outfit that has faded somewhat with age and is lightly soiled. For display purposes, the previous owner constructed a large mat with a crepe paper chimney for a nice Christmas display. SIZE: 27″ h. CONDITION: As stated above.
