WINCHESTER MODEL 1886 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 45-70. Standard grade rifle with 26″ oct. bbl, full magazine, case colored receiver and uncheckered wood with straight stock and crescent steel buttplate. Bbl is fitted with half-nickel front sight and ladder rear sight. SN 95960. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl and magazine tube retain 88-90% original finish overall with some light spotting on the bbl and a couple of dings by the front sight. Receiver retains 25-30% fading case colors, strong in sheltered areas. Wood is sound having been lightly sanded and retaining traces of original varnish.
