27-1/2″ CAST IRON DENT 3-HORSE LADDER TRUCK.

Manufactured by Dent Hardware circa 1900/1910, this classic mainstay toy manufactured by various companies depicts three horses galloping down the street in a hurry to the house fire. Fireman seated front & rear (lacking rear fireman). Toy retains its original chains on horses, ladder hangers as well as ladders, and the paint overall is original in very good to fine condition with most noticeable paint loss to tin whiffle on horse’s yoke. SIZE: 27-1/2″ l. PROVENANCE: From the Laurence Hapgood Estate. CONDITION: No damage to iron castings. One ladder has split to wooden rail. 49003-17 (350-650) – Lot 2018
