SN 50488. Cal. .44 WCF. 24″ rnd bbl, full mag, second model style receiver with guide rail attached by screw, blue finish, straight grained American walnut stocks with crescent butt and factory sling swivels. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl and mag tube show a smooth plum/brown patina overall with traces of blue in protected areas. Sporting sights are very good. Bbl marking is clear. Bore is bright with strong rifling. Receiver retains 30-40% of the blue finish with the balance drifting to a smooth plum/brown patina. Loading gate shows traces of fire blue. Elevator is a mustard/brown patina with a few small dents. Hammer and lever are a smooth brown patina with hints of case color. Tang markings are sharp and clear. Stocks are very good, full sized with some very light cleaning and a coat of old varnish applied. Stocks have minor handling marks overall. Buttplate and forend cap are a smooth plum/brown patina. A very nice example of a second model ’73 rifle in far above average condition with a great bore. 51379-1 TEP (7,000-9,000) – Lot 2016
