PRATT & LETCHWORTH SURREY.

A nice in as found all original condition P&L one-seat surrey. As was common with P&L and their 1&2-seat series they had a pressed steel body attached to a fine cast iron framework. This particular toy has the trademark yellow wheels with red pinstriping in a nicely detailed to the max caramel colored horse. This toy is in need, and would benefit greatly, by a light cleaning to truly bring out the full colors in highlight of not only the carriage but the horse as well. SIZE: 15″ l. PROVENANCE: From the Laurence Hapgood Estate. CONDITION: Perhaps the only downside being the horse’s extended left front foot is missing the normal tin & iron guide wheel, which is often the case. 49003-12 (450-650) – Lot 2006
