WINCHESTER MODEL 1873 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 22 short. Standard grade rifle with 24-3/8″ round bbl, full magazine tube, uncheckered wood with straight stock and crescent steel buttplate without trap. Bbl is fitted with half-nickel front sight and semi-buckhorn rear sight missing the elevator. SN 543866. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl and magazine tube retain 80-90% blue turning brown, receiver retains about 80% plum-blue with the left sideplate being a silver-gray patina. Floor plate screws are replacements. Wood is sound and retains most of an old refinish with a repaired crack in the forearm. Worn bore with some shine, scattered pitting and a ring near the muzzle.
