PARKER #3 GRADE HAMMER SIDE LOCK DOUBLE BARREL SHOTGUN. CA 1880’s (referred to them as the Doctor’s gun). SN 36008. Cal. 10ga. 32″ ribbed bbl, swirl Damascus. Standard markings on bbl and locks. CONDITION: Gray patina with spots of light rust and pitting. Framed and checkered buttplate. Fine engraving, incl. birds, dogs, stars and bars on blocks, buttplate, frame and foreend latch and triggerguard. Stock; points above and below side locks had been broken back with use and were missing. They have been cosmetically replaced (not suitable for shooting). Otherwise, stock of original high grade walnut. Total stock restored by Wenig of Lincoln, MO. Excellent checkering. 4-46012 (1,000-1,500)
