*PARKER DHE DOUBLE BARREL SHOTGUN. Cal. 20 ga. Built on an “0” frame with 26” barrels, choked Modified/Improved Cylinder, having a tapered matted rib with double brass beads, ejectors, and single selective trigger. Receiver is typically “D” engraved with a pointer on the left side, a setter on the right side and four pheasant on the floorplate, surrounded by arabesque patterns and the “Parker Bros.” name on both sides. Wood is very nicely figured American walnut with splinter forearm and round knob stock, 13-7/8” over a dog’s head buttplate, including a 3/16” hard rubber spacer. It has a gold oval initial plate on the belly of the stock. SN 226909. CONDITION: Excellent plus, the barrels retain about 98% strong bright original blue, the receiver retains about 90% original case colors, slightly faded, and lighter on the bottom of the receiver and floorplate, strong and bright in sheltered areas. Triggerguard retains about 30% blue with the tang turned silver. Wood is sound and retains about all of its original varnish on the forearm and a fine restored finish on the buttstock. Bores are bright and shiny. A truly wonderful “D” grade Parker. 4-47482 JL (6,000-9,000)
