*DARNE SLIDING BREECH SIDE BY SIDE SHOTGUN. Cal. 12ga. Fine French made earlier style shotgun, about the equivalent to a Model R-11, with 26-3/4″ bbls, choked FULL/IMP-MOD with swamped tapered matted rib with single brass bead. Receiver and sliding breech are case colored with nominal arabesque patterns on the sides with leaf and twig motifs on the fences. Left side of the receiver has a tiny knurled safety. It is fitted with nicely figured walnut with splinter forearm and straight stock, 14-1/8″ over a serrated hard rubber buttplate. The opening lever is marked “CHARLIN”. SN 21577. CONDITION: About very good. Bbls retain 85-90% original blue, dull over the chamber areas and up the bbl and little ways. Receiver and sliding breech retain 70-75% faded case colors with the balance turning silver. Wood retains most of a professionally restored finish. Bright shiny bores. 4-45943 JR453 (1,000-2,000)
