RARE 14 GAUGE LEFEVER E-GRADE DOUBLE BARREL SHOTGUN. Cal. 14ga. Fine old damascus shotgun with 28″ bbls, wide tapered matted rib with ivory bead, splinter forearm with push button release. Lightly decorated sidelocks with very fine engraved bird dogs and light arabesque patterns with cocked indicators. Nicely figured wood with checkered capped pistol grip stock, 13-1/4″ over a checkered butt. SN 10396. CONDITION: Good to very good. Bbls are a light thin brown patina and retain 50-60% thin damascus pattern. Receiver retains 10-15% thin case colors with light silver-brown patina elsewhere. Lockplates retain 30-40% case colors on the left side and 75-80% on the right side with a couple of battered screws. Forearm is dark and oil stained with moderate wear to the checkering. Stock, cut to its current length, has a hairline back of the left lock, otherwise is sound and retains a dark oil patina. Bright shiny bores. 4-47028 JR376 (2,000-3,000)
