INDIAN BEADED KNIFE SHEATH. Fine Northern Plains beaded knife sheath, 10-1/2″ long x 2-5/8″ wide. Possibly Sioux or Arapaho, primarily dark green beads with red, white and some blue geometric decorations with lighter green edge beading. Center is mounted with 15 small tin tassels with one missing. The base material is early rawhide. Accompanied by a crude thin blade butcher knife with 1-pc wood handle, 2 iron rivets, probably old nails. Appears to have been made from a saw blade. CONDITION: One tiny loss of edge beading at the very tip of the sheath. Otherwise, all intact with bright vivid colors. Knife is very worn and pitted. 4-47040 JR534 (1,000-1,200)
