FINE ANTIQUE SOUTHWEST AMERICAN INDIAN POTTERY OLLA, PROBABLY ZIA. Body with a kicked up base, a soft cream color with bold, fat, red birds having a black crest, a swirled wavy red band surrounds the pot outlined with black ribs, the upper portion or neck of the pot is most unusually decorated with black bird-type figure with black plumbs, small red bead like decoration on the body of these birds and a stream of these same beads is seen to emit from the tip of the beak on down to the wavy band surrounding the pot. SIZE: Approx. 11” h x approx. 11-1/2” dia. CONDITION: Decoration is generally very good, some age discoloration, there is a large shallow chip on the undecorated portion of the base of the pot and a crack is visible on the interior of the pot but does not appear to be visible on the exterior, a wonderful old piece. 9-92521 (2,500-4,500)
