DERINGER PISTOL AND MAPPIN BOWIE KNIFE. NSN. Cal. .41, 2-1/2″ bbl. Standard configuration with “P” in a sunburst on the right flat of the bbl. CONDITION: Metal has been acid cleaned leaving moderate to heavy pitting along the edges of the bbl. Stock is broken through the lock screw. Lock is good. 6″ single edge blade is marked with an eight pointed star and marking “MAPPIN/BROTHERS” on the left side of the blade and “QUEEN’S/CUTLERY WORKS/SHEFFIELD” on the left ricasso. Comes with a stamp, leather covered paper sheath with a sun face in the center. German silver throat, the tip is missing. CONDITION: Light pitting overall on the blade, which has many sharpening marks. German silver crossguard and pearl scales are fine. Scabbard is good except for missing the tip and with damage for the last three inches, which has been repaired. 4-46971 FS395 (1,000-2,000)
