SILVER MOUNTED DERINGER PISTOL. NSN. Cal. .41, 3-7/8″ bbl. Escutcheons, plate under the nipple, sideplate, thumb-piece and butt decorations are silver. Triggerguard, tail pipe and forearm tip are possibly silver but have a dull steel appearance. Standard markings on the lock and bbl. “P” marking on the upper left flat does not have the sunburst around it. CONDITION: Traces of the “Damascus” brown remain on the bbl rib, otherwise gray patina with scattered light pitting. Stock has been broken through the wrist and repaired with a German silver plate on the left side. Ramrod is a replacement. Mechanically good. FS763 4-47563 (800-1,200)
