KENTUCKY FLINTLOCK PISTOL. NSN. Cal. .63, 9-1/4″ round bbl with London proof marks. London was originally marked on top of the bbl, but this was obscured by wiggle work engraving. Lockplate is marked “ASHMORE/WARRANTED”. Curly maple stock has silver bbl key escutcheons and teardrops at the wrist. Brass furnishings otherwise. Bbl has been bushed and the frizzen has been refaced but the lock is original flintlock. CONDITION: Nice patina on the bbl and brass furniture. Metal shows light pitting. Stock is broken through the rear lock screw. Otherwise very good. Action is fine. 4-47277 FS655 (2,000-3,000)
