ASSEMBLED KENTUCKY PISTOL. NSN. Cal. 60, 9″ oct. bbl. Marked “London” on top of the bbl but carrying spurious Birmingham proof marks; probably made in Belgium. Silver triggerguard has the touch mark of Charles Freeth and the London hallmarks for 1790. The other mountings are also silver. CONDITION: Gray-brown patina over all with live rust and pitting at the breech. Curly maple stock has a light crack at the rear lockplate screw and large chips at the triggerguard pin. Otherwise normal handling marks. The silver spider at the front site is almost black with tarnish. 4-47279 FS658 (2,000-3,000)
