ASSEMBLED FLINTLOCK PISTOL. NSN. Cal. .45, 7-3/4″ oct. bbl. Triggerguard and tail pipe are from a Brown Bess musket. Grip cap is a crude replica of those used on martial pistols. Tiger maple stock. Bbl is probably from a Kentucky rifle with the original rear sight slot being used for the front site, which is 2-1/8″ from the muzzle and only 3-1/2″ from the current rear sight. CONDITION: Gray patina with light surface rust and pitting. Curly maple stock has a long crack running forward from the lockplate and does not appear to have been finished. Brass has a dark patina. 4-47308 FS651 (500-1,000)
