CASED BRITISH TRANSITION REVOLVER. NSN.. Cal. .38, 5-7/8″ oct. bbl. Birmingham proof marks with “JW” maker mark on bottom of bbl. In English mahogany case with red velour lining, faded to gold, containing a loading rod, screwdriver, hammer key for another gun, cleaning rod, an oversized eley cap tin, and an incorrect bullet mold. CONDITION: 50% blue on the bbl with light surface rust and pitting at the rear. Some case-hardening color on cylinder but it has a thick piece of old tape and the condition of the remainder cannot be determined. Faint case-hardening colors on the left “up” side of the gun, darker on the right. Grips are sharp, the grip straps have light surface rust and pitting. Case lid is slightly warped with scratches and mars. Accessories good, the key works. 4-46965 FS532 (1,500-2,500)
