KELLER PERCUSSION KENTUCKY RIFLE. NSN. Cal. 45, 42″ oct. bbl, marked “I.KELLER” on the lock and bbl. John W. Keller worked in Carlisle, Pennsylvania from 1823-1873. This was originally a flintlock rifle but has been converted to percussion. 4-pc patchbox is attached with seven screws. Curly maple stock is checkered at the wrist. CONDITION: Brown patina over all with heavy pitting at the breech. Hammer is probably a replacement. Wood has been sanded and refinished. A crude attempt was made to freshen the checkering. 4-47210 FS711 (800-1,500)
