KENTUCKY RIFLE. Oct. 42-1/4″ Cal. .45 rifled bbl with simple nipple drum, flat lock signed “Golcher”, full stock with brass mounts including forend cap, 3 ramrod pipes, triggerguard (2 dbl. set triggers). Very lightly engraved double tear shaped sideplate for single lock screw, buttplate and nice lightly engraved patchbox, round silver wrist escutcheon with very lightly engraved border, lightly engraved half moon on the cheekrest, 58″ o.a. CONDITION: Bbl with moderate age patina, the lock lightly cleaned with scattered age patina and some patchy light pitting. Hammer is moderately pitted, old replacement hammer screw. Stock with stained mixture of wood putty and epoxy, forend from the middle pipe forward a very fine well stained and aged restoration. The 2 front pipes and the forend cap excellent restorations, balance of the stock very good to fine, nicely aged brass mounts. 4-46201 (1,000-1,500)
