Image depicts the 485 foot long “SS City of Detroit III” in the Detroit harbor. She was built by the Detroit Shipbuilding Co. in Wyandotte, MI at a cost of $1,500,000, and launched in Oct. 7, 1911. This sidewheel steamer was claimed at the time to be the largest in the world. Graphics include a biplane flying off in the distance. Sign is in its original wood frame with brass I.D. plate.
